Emerald Cut Moissanite Pear Three Stone Vintage Milgrain Engagement Ring

An emerald cut moissanite with a pear cut moissanite on each side, the points turned outwards so the three stones together make one long shape across the finger. Behind each pear the shoulder opens into a pointed leaf shaped panel of milgrain edged pave, and under the head there is scrolled openwork with more beading worked into it.

The pears are what make this ring unusual. Most three stone designs use baguettes or trillions, which square off the sides. A pear curves away from the centre stone and softens the rectangle, so the ring reads as antique rather than architectural, and the vintage detailing on the shoulders follows the same logic.

How it compares to our other three stone emerald cut rings

Every design is listed separately. Our tapered baguette three stone puts one long step cut on each side and leaves the band plain. Our trillion three stone uses a triangular stone that meets the centre edge to edge. Our matching emerald cut three stone bezels all three in the same shape. This is the only one with pear side stones and the only one that carries vintage milgrain and openwork through the shoulders and gallery. It is the softest and most decorated of the four.

Metals and sizes

Choose from 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. All gold is solid, never plated and never filled. White gold is rhodium finished. Yellow gold is shown here and the milgrain reads especially well in a warm metal, where the beading holds a line of shadow. Centre stone sizes run from 2 carat to 5 carat. Side stone size is scaled in proportion to the centre.

Made to order in our own workshop

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat, India. Every ring is made by our own team after you order. Pear side stones have to be matched to each other as well as to the centre, and the points need their own claws cut to fit, so this design takes a little longer than a plain three stone. If you would prefer the pears set point inwards, or the pave panels left plain, tell us in the order notes before we begin.

Care

Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale and takes daily wear well. Clean with warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, working carefully around the pear points and along the milgrain. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth. The points of a pear are its most vulnerable part, so have the claws over them checked once a year.

Resizing

The back of the band is plain, so this ring resizes by one to two sizes without disturbing the shoulder panels. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure of the finger size and we will help you measure.

Questions people ask

Is the centre stone a diamond? No. Every stone in this ring is moissanite, a gemstone in its own right, and we never describe it as a diamond.

Do three stone rings mean something? Many people read them as past, present and future. We make no claim about it beyond that, and plenty of buyers simply like the balance of the shape.

Why are the pears set sideways? With the points outwards the three stones make one continuous line across the finger, and the emerald cut looks wider than it does alone.

Can I wear a wedding band with it? A straight band meets the plain back neatly. At the front the pear points sit close to the finger, so a contoured band fits more closely if you want the two to touch.

Does the price change with carat size? Yes. The 2 carat is the base price and each larger size adds a small amount. The exact price appears when you select a combination.
