Pear Cut Moissanite Infinity Crossover Marquise Petal Ring

A pear cut moissanite in six claws on a band that divides into two strands at each shoulder, loops them over one another in an infinity crossover, then rejoins into a single shank at the back. Where the loops meet the setting, marquise cut moissanite are claw set in small groups, radiating outward from the centre stone like petals opening.

The crossover creates two open windows of skin on either side of the head, which lifts the whole design off the finger visually and keeps a ring with this much going on from looking heavy. Shown here in white gold, which suits the loops because the metal reads as line rather than as mass.

Why the point is protected

The tip of a pear is the most vulnerable part of the shape. Ours sits under a claw that wraps around it rather than a plain prong resting on top. It is the difference between a point that survives a decade of daily wear and one that chips on a door frame in the first year, and it is not something we treat as optional.

How it compares to our other twisted and vine pear rings

Every design is listed separately. Our twisting milgrain vine band curves and dips but never actually separates; it stays one continuous strand with beading along its edge. Our sculpted vine and leaf ring builds foliage in relief on a solid shank. This is the only design in our pear range where the band genuinely splits into two strands and loops them across each other, and the only one whose accents are all marquise cut, arranged as radiating petals rather than as leaves along a stem.

Metals and sizes

Choose from 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. All gold is solid, never plated and never filled. White gold is rhodium finished and is shown here. In yellow or rose gold the loops read warmer and heavier; in white gold and silver they almost disappear into the stones, which is the effect in the photographs. Centre stone sizes run from 2 carat to 5 carat.

Made to order in our own workshop

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat, India. Every ring is made by our own team after you order. Both loops have to sit at the same height and cross at the same angle, or the ring looks lopsided from above. The marquise accents are set last, each at its own angle so the group fans out evenly rather than sitting in a line.

Care

Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale and takes daily wear well. Clean with warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, working through the two open windows in the crossover where dust settles and around the points of the marquise accents. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Have the claws checked once a year; the tip claws on the marquise stones are the smallest on the ring.

Resizing

The back of the shank is a single plain strand, so this ring resizes comfortably by about two sizes without touching the crossover or any setting.

Questions people ask

Is the centre stone a diamond? No. Every stone in this ring is moissanite, a gemstone in its own right, and we never describe it as a diamond.

Do the open loops catch on things? The strands are rounded and polished and the gaps sit above the finger rather than at the sides, so it is not a snagging design. The marquise points are the parts to be mindful of, and they are set low.

Which way does the pear point? Toward the fingertip as standard, which is what lengthens the finger. Tell us in the order notes if you want it the other way.

Can I wear a wedding band with it? A straight band meets the plain back of the shank but will not sit flush against the crossover, where the strands rise. A contoured band follows the loop better, and many people wear this one on its own.

Does the price change with carat size? Yes. The 2 carat is the base price and each larger size adds a small amount. The exact price appears when you select a combination.
