Pear Cut Moissanite Petite Three Stone Slim Band Engagement Ring

A pear cut moissanite in six claws with a smaller pear cut moissanite tucked in close on each side, laid flat so its point runs outward along the finger. The side stones are modest in scale and sit tight against the centre with almost no metal showing between them, so the three read as one continuous shape rather than as three separate settings.

Behind the head the band drops away immediately to a slim, plain, gently tapering shank. There is nothing else on the ring: no accents on the shoulders, no halo, no engraving. The whole design is the three stones and a thin line of metal holding them.

Why the point is protected

The tip of a pear is the most vulnerable part of the shape. The centre stone sits under a claw that wraps around its point rather than a plain prong resting on top, and the outer points of both side stones are held the same way. Because the side stones lie flat against the finger, their tips are less exposed than a claw set marquise would be.

How it compares to our larger three stone pear ring

Every design is listed separately, and we make a second pear three stone ring that looks similar in a photograph but wears quite differently. On that one the side stones are large, roughly half the length of the centre, spread wide, and sit on a 2 mm band; it covers a lot of finger and reads as a substantial three stone piece from across a room. This one keeps the side stones small and close and puts them on a slimmer 1.8 mm shank, so it stays delicate and the centre stone clearly remains the subject.

Put simply: choose that one if you want the three stones to share the attention, and this one if you want the centre to keep it. They cost different amounts for the same reason, and we would rather set both out honestly than describe them with the same words.

Metals and sizes

Choose from 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. All gold is solid, never plated and never filled. White gold is rhodium finished. Yellow gold, shown here, gives the tightest outline around the group of three. Centre stone sizes run from 2 carat to 5 carat, and the side stones scale with the centre so the proportions stay right at every size.

Made to order in our own workshop

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat, India. Every ring is made by our own team after you order. Setting three stones this close together is finer work than setting them apart, because there is very little metal between them to hold a claw. Our setter fits all three before tightening any of them.

Care

Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale and takes daily wear well. Clean with warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, working into the narrow gaps between the three stones where residue collects. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Have the claws checked once a year, particularly the ones over the three points.

Resizing

The band is plain behind the head, so this ring resizes comfortably by two sizes or more in either direction without disturbing any setting.

Questions people ask

Is the centre stone a diamond? No. All three stones are moissanite, a gemstone in its own right, and we never describe any of them as diamonds.

How big are the side stones? They are proportioned to the centre rather than fixed, and they are deliberately smaller than on our larger three stone design. Ask us before ordering if you want exact millimetre sizes for a particular combination.

Which way does the centre pear point? Toward the fingertip as standard, which is what lengthens the finger. Tell us in the order notes if you want it the other way.

Can I wear a wedding band with it? Yes, and better than on the wider three stone version. The head is compact and the band is slim, so a straight band sits close with only a small gap under the stones.

Does the price change with carat size? Yes. The 2 carat is the base price and each larger size adds a small amount. The exact price appears when you select a combination.
