Design & Selection
We finalise your design and hand-pick the certified center stone.
Save 20%An emerald cut moissanite in four claws with a cluster of marquise and round accent stones gathered on each shoulder. The accents are graduated, largest beside the centre stone and tapering outward, with the marquise stones angled so their points fan away from the head. Beneath the setting the gallery is fluted with fine vertical ribs. The shank returns to plain polished metal at the back.
The trick here is mixing two accent shapes instead of one. A row of identical rounds looks like pave. A row of identical marquise looks like a leaf motif. Combining them, and graduating the sizes, produces a cluster that reads as organic rather than repetitive, and it fills the shoulder with light without the flat uniformity of a paved band. Against a step cut centre stone that contrast works particularly well, because the emerald cut supplies the calm geometry and the shoulders supply the movement.
Four claw prongs hold the corners of the emerald cut. On each shoulder a cluster of marquise cut and round brilliant moissanite accents is claw set in a graduated arrangement, largest at the head and diminishing outward, with the marquise stones angled outward from the centre. The gallery under the head is fluted with fine vertical ribs. The shank tapers to plain polished metal at the back. Band width is approximately two millimetres. Metal is solid throughout with a polished interior.
Choose from recycled 925 sterling silver, or solid 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. Yellow gold, as photographed, separates the accent stones from the metal so each one reads individually, which is what makes a cluster look like a cluster. Rose gold does the same more softly. White gold and sterling silver merge the accents into a single bright mass. White gold is rhodium finished.
Every ring is made to order in your size. Sizes run from 3 to 13, including half sizes. The plain back of the shank allows minor adjustment later, but ordering the correct size protects the accent clusters. Contact us if you are unsure and we will help before production starts.
Clustered accents and a fluted gallery both hold soap film, and the small gaps between graduated stones hold the most. Clean every few weeks with warm water, mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush, working across the cluster in both directions and up through the gallery from underneath. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.
What is a marquise cut? An elongated stone with pointed ends, sometimes called a navette. It is the shape jewellers use when they want a row of stones to suggest leaves or petals rather than a straight line.
How many accent stones are there? Each shoulder carries a graduated cluster of marquise and round accents. The exact count is proportioned to your finger size and to the centre stone weight you choose.
Do the marquise points catch on things? They are set low against the shoulder with the points protected by the claws, so no more than a pave row would.
Which metal should I choose? Yellow or rose gold for the clearest separation between stones and metal. White gold or sterling silver for maximum brightness. For daily wear over decades, 14K balances colour and durability best.
