There is not a single accent stone on this ring. The decoration is all metal: a pair of leaves on each shoulder, carved with a raised centre rib, growing out of a shank that splits into two strands, crosses over itself and rejoins at the back.

Because the shoulders are open you can see daylight through them from the side, which keeps a fairly bold design feeling light on the hand.

How it compares

Several of our nature inspired emerald rings use marquise stones to suggest leaves. This one does the opposite: the leaves are cut from the metal itself, so the whole ring reads as one continuous piece rather than a band with stones set into it. If you want the botanical shape without extra sparkle beside the centre stone, this is the one.

Why an emerald cut

The long flat table of a step cut sits well above curved organic shoulders. The straight edges of the stone give the eye a clear line against the curl of the leaves, which is what stops the design from looking busy.

Wearing and stacking

The leaves rise slightly at the shoulders, so a straight wedding band will sit flush at the back but leave a small gap at the front. A contoured or curved band follows the shape more closely if you want the two to sit tight together.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Work the brush under the open shoulders where dust settles, then rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

No. Every part of the design except the centre stone is metal.

Will the leaves catch on clothing
The tips are turned inwards towards the centre stone and rounded, so they sit flat against the finger rather than standing proud.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, by one to two sizes in either direction. The plain back of the shank gives us clean metal to work with.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.
