Two slim strands wind around each other down both shoulders. One is polished plain, the other carries a fine scalloped pave row, and they change places as they twist so the sparkle appears and disappears as the ring turns.

Under the centre stone a hidden halo of small accents runs around the girdle. From above you see a plain emerald cut solitaire on a twist. From the side you find the extra row of light.

How it compares

Our infinity twist pave emerald ring uses the same two strand idea but leaves the gallery plain. This one adds the hidden halo, which lifts the stone slightly and puts a line of light right under the girdle. Our milgrain pave crossover twist is the third version, with beading framing the pave and only a single crossover.

A step cut sits quietly above all this movement. The twist and the hidden halo supply the sparkle; the centre stone supplies the calm.

Wearing and stacking

The hidden halo raises the stone a little, so a straight wedding band will sit slightly under the head rather than flush against it. A curved band closes that gap.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. The two strands are twisted before the pave is set, because setting stones into an already twisted strand pulls the pattern out of true. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 14 to 18 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Brush the hidden halo from underneath, where it collects the most, and work along the twist rather than across it. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

How many accent stones are there
About thirty six in total, counting the hidden halo and the pave strand. The halo count grows with the centre stone.
