This is the plainest ring in the emerald range and the one everything else is measured against. A slim round band, four tapered claws, and nothing else. No halo, no pave, no engraving.

Look underneath and the four claws curl into a small open trellis where they meet, which is the only piece of shaping on the whole ring. It exists to hold the stone, not to be seen.

Why an emerald cut

An emerald cut shows the stone rather than the sparkle. Broad flat facets step down toward the table and give long steady flashes of light instead of the scattered fire of a brilliant cut. On a ring with nothing else on it, that is the entire effect, and it is why a colorless VVS stone matters so much here.

Wearing and stacking

Slim, round in section and completely plain. This is the easiest ring in the range to stack, and it takes a curved band, a straight band or a full eternity band equally well.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. On a ring this plain there is nowhere to hide, so the claws are filed to match each other exactly and the band is polished in one pass with no join visible at the back. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 7 to 10 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Brush underneath the stone through the open trellis, which is the only place this ring collects anything. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

No. This is a plain solitaire.

Will four claws hold a 5 carat stone
Yes. We thicken the claws as the stone size goes up, which is why the 5 carat looks very slightly heavier at the head than the 2 carat.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, by two or more sizes. The band carries no stones.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.

Which finger sizes are available
Sizes 3 to 13 including half sizes. Message us before ordering if you need something outside that range.
