The shank of this ring splits in two and crosses over itself on both shoulders before meeting the head. One strand is set with pave moissanite, the other is left as plain polished metal, so the band reads as a braid of light and shadow rather than a single row of stones. Above it sits an emerald cut moissanite in four fine prongs, sitting slightly raised so the twist can pass cleanly beneath it.

Setting and band

Four claw prongs hold the corners of the emerald cut above an open basket. From the head the shank divides into two strands that cross over each other on each shoulder and rejoin at the back of the ring. One strand carries bead set pave moissanite along its length, the other is polished plain. Combined band width is approximately two millimetres at the widest point of the crossover. Metal is solid throughout with a smooth polished interior.

Choose from recycled 925 sterling silver, or solid 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. White gold and sterling silver, as photographed, keep the pave and the colorless centre stone reading as one bright line. Yellow gold makes the twist far more visible because the plain strand contrasts against the white stones. Rose gold sits between the two. White gold is rhodium finished.

Care

Clean every few weeks with warm water, mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush, working the bristles into the groove where the two strands cross. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth. Remove the ring before swimming, gardening or lifting weights.
