Emerald Cut Moissanite Three Stone Tapered Baguette Engagement Ring

An emerald cut moissanite flanked by two tapered baguettes, all three stones step cut, all three set in fine claws on a plain knife edge shank. The baguettes narrow as they run outward from the centre, which pulls the eye inward and makes the centre stone look longer than it measures. This is the classic Art Deco three stone arrangement, and it is the only side stone shape that genuinely belongs next to an emerald cut.

Why this ring works

Most three stone rings pair a step cut centre with brilliant cut sides, and the two cuts fight. Brilliants scatter light in small bright flashes while a step cut returns broad flat planes, so the sides sparkle and the centre looks dull by comparison. Tapered baguettes are cut the same way as the centre stone, with long parallel facets and no crown brilliance. The result is one continuous run of clean architectural light across all three stones. It is a quieter ring than a halo, and considerably more expensive looking.

Setting and band

Four claw prongs hold the corners of the emerald cut, which sits east to west across the finger in a plain open basket. A tapered baguette moissanite sits on each shoulder in matching claws, set flush against the centre stone with no gap. The shank is slim and plain with a soft knife edge so that nothing competes with the three stones. Band width is approximately two millimetres. Metal is solid throughout with a polished interior.

Choose from recycled 925 sterling silver, or solid 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. White gold, as photographed, is the traditional Deco choice and keeps all three stones reading as one bright line. Yellow gold warms the setting and makes the step cut planes look creamier. Rose gold gives the softest contrast. White gold is rhodium finished.

Every ring is made to order in your size. Sizes run from 3 to 13, including half sizes. The plain shank resizes easily, but ordering the correct size from the start is always better for the stones. Contact us if you are unsure and we will help before production starts.

Care

Three stone rings collect debris in the two gaps where the baguettes meet the centre stone. Clean every few weeks with warm water, mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush, paying attention to those two junctions and to the underside of the basket. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.
