Save 20%An emerald cut moissanite on a very slim polished band, with small marquise and round accents scattered around the base of the setting like petals fallen against the metal. The accents are not in a row and not symmetrical. They sit in loose groups of two and three, some tilted, some flat, clustered close to the head and thinning out along the shoulders until the band returns to plain gold.
Almost every accented ring arranges its stones in a line, because a line is easy to set and easy to price. Scattering them is harder and it changes the whole effect: instead of reading as a band with pave on it, the ring reads as a stone with light gathered around its base. The slim shank matters just as much, because a scattered arrangement needs empty metal around it to look deliberate rather than untidy. What you get is a ring that looks handmade rather than manufactured, which is unusual at any price.
Four claw prongs hold the corners of the emerald cut above an open gallery. Marquise cut and round brilliant moissanite accents are claw set in irregular groups on both shoulders, some angled outward and some lying flat against the band, clustered densest beside the head and thinning as they run outward. The shank is slim, round and polished, approximately one point six millimetres, and returns to plain metal well before the back. Metal is solid throughout with a polished interior.
Choose from recycled 925 sterling silver, or solid 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. Yellow gold, as photographed, gives the empty stretches of band real presence, which is what makes the scattered accents read as deliberate. Rose gold does the same warmer. White gold and sterling silver let the accents blend into the shank and lose some of the scattered effect. White gold is rhodium finished.
Every ring is made to order in your size. Sizes run from 3 to 13, including half sizes. The plain back of the shank allows minor adjustment later, but ordering the correct size protects the accent groups. Contact us if you are unsure and we will help before production starts.
Irregularly placed claws catch lint more readily than a neat pave row, and the gaps between accent groups collect hand cream. Clean every few weeks with warm water, mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush, working around each cluster from several directions rather than brushing along the band. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.
Is the scatter pattern identical on both shoulders? No. The two sides are deliberately different, which is the point of the design. Each ring is set by hand, so no two are laid out precisely alike.
How many accent stones are there? Marquise and round accents are placed in irregular groups and the count is proportioned to your finger size and the centre stone weight you choose.
Is a one point six millimetre band durable? In 10K, 14K and 18K gold it is fine for everyday wear. Sterling silver at this width is softer and will bend or wear faster, which is worth knowing before you choose.
Which metal should I choose? Yellow or rose gold, to keep contrast between the bare metal and the scattered stones. White gold or sterling silver for a quieter, more uniform look. For daily wear over decades, 14K balances colour and durability best.
