An emerald cut moissanite over a hidden halo, on a petite shank that splits into two strands and twists once around itself on each shoulder before rejoining at the back. Both strands carry scalloped pave, so the twist reads as two continuous ribbons of light crossing over one another. Beneath the centre stone, a row of pave set into the sides of the head catches light at every angle except directly from above.

Why this ring works

Scalloped pave means the metal between each stone is cut away in small arcs rather than left as a flat wall, so light reaches the accent stones from the side as well as the top. On a twisted band this matters more than usual, because half the pave is always facing away from you. Cutting the metal back keeps the far strand as bright as the near one, which is what makes the twist read as continuous instead of flickering. Add the hidden halo underneath and the ring throws light from directions a plain solitaire simply cannot.

Setting and band

Four claw prongs hold the corners of the emerald cut above a hidden halo of round brilliant moissanite set into all four sides of the head. A gallery wire runs beneath the setting for additional support. The shank divides into two petite strands that twist once around each other on both shoulders and rejoin behind the head, each strand bead set with scalloped pave moissanite. Band width is approximately one point eight millimetres at the twist. Metal is solid throughout with a polished interior.

Metal options

Choose from recycled 925 sterling silver, or solid 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. White gold, as photographed, lets the two paved strands merge into single ribbons of light, which is the effect this design is built around. Yellow and rose gold separate each accent stone from the metal and give a warmer, more visible twist. White gold is rhodium finished.

Ring sizing

Every ring is made to order in your size. Sizes run from 3 to 13, including half sizes. The single band behind the head allows minor adjustment later, but ordering the correct size keeps the twist symmetrical on your finger and protects the pave. Care

This design has two of the dirtiest features in jewellery: a hidden halo directly under the stone, and a twist with a groove running its whole length. Clean every two to three weeks with warm water, mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush, brushing upward under the head on all four sides and along both strands of the twist in both directions. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.
