Emerald Cut Moissanite Petite Pave Solitaire Engagement Ring

An emerald cut moissanite in four slender claws above a plain open basket, on a petite band bead set with round brilliant moissanite along the upper two thirds. There is no hidden halo and no ornament under the stone. The head is deliberately bare so that the emerald cut sits high and the light passes straight through it, while the pave keeps the shank from disappearing against the finger.

Why this ring works

An emerald cut is a large flat stone and it needs a slim band to look large. A wide shank makes the same stone read as merely medium. This design takes that to its logical end: the band is petite, the pave stones are small, and every proportion is set so the centre stone is the only thing you register at arm's length. The bare basket matters too, because a hidden halo under a step cut adds glitter directly beneath the table, and on an emerald cut that reads as busy rather than bright.

Setting and band

Four slender claw prongs hold the corners of the emerald cut in a plain four sided basket with open sides. Round brilliant moissanite accents are bead set in a single row along the top of the shank on both shoulders, stopping before the base so the back of the ring stays comfortable and easy to resize. Band width is approximately one point eight millimetres, deliberately petite. Metal is solid throughout with a polished interior.

Metal options

Choose from recycled 925 sterling silver, or solid 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. White gold, as photographed, lets the pave vanish into the band so the row reads as a continuous line of light. Yellow and rose gold outline each accent stone and give a warmer, more visible pave. White gold is rhodium finished.

Ring sizing

Every ring is made to order in your size. Sizes run from 3 to 13, including half sizes. The plain metal at the back of the shank allows minor adjustment later, but ordering the correct size from the start protects the pave. Contact us if you are unsure and we will help before production starts.

Care

Pave rows trap hand cream and soap film, and a petite band shows that faster than a wide one. Clean every few weeks with warm water, mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush, brushing along the row rather than across it, and check the underside of the basket. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

Questions people ask

Is a petite band strong enough for daily wear? Yes in 14K, 18K and 10K gold. In sterling silver a petite shank is softer and will show wear sooner, which is worth knowing if you plan to wear it every day for years.

How many accent stones are there? The row is proportioned to your finger size, so the count varies slightly. The coverage and stone size stay the same.

Why does the pave stop before the back of the ring? Two reasons. It keeps the underside smooth against your finger, and it leaves plain metal for a jeweller to work with if you ever need it resized.

Which metal should I choose? White gold or sterling silver for the most seamless pave. Yellow or rose gold if you want the accents to read individually. For daily wear over decades, 14K balances colour and durability best.
