Emerald Cut Moissanite Petite Micropave Hidden Halo Engagement Ring

A large emerald cut moissanite on a deliberately thin band. The shank is about 1.5 mm across, set with a single line of very small micropave stones down each shoulder, and there is a hidden halo of tiny round moissanite tucked around the base of the centre stone. Four slim claws hold the stone low over a compact basket.

Everything about this design is about making the centre stone look as large as possible. A narrow band exaggerates the width of the stone across the finger, micropave keeps the shoulders bright without adding bulk, and the hidden halo lifts the stone with light from underneath. It is the most delicate ring in our emerald cut range, and the one that gives the biggest apparent stone for a given carat weight.

How it compares to our other emerald cut pave rings

We list each design on its own, so here is the difference. Our French pave ring uses larger pave stones on a 2 mm band with the metal scalloped out beneath each one, and it has no hidden halo. Our hidden halo twist ring has the same hidden halo but a split shank that spirals. This ring has neither the scallops nor the twist: it is a single fine line of micropave on the thinnest band we make, with the hidden halo underneath. If you want the stone to look as big as possible and the metal to almost disappear, this is the one to choose.

Metals and sizes

Choose from 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. All gold is solid, not plated and not filled. White gold is rhodium finished and is the metal shown here. On a band this thin we recommend 14K or 18K gold over sterling silver if the ring will be worn daily, simply because gold at this width holds its shape better over years of wear. Centre stone sizes run from 2 carat to 5 carat.

A note on the thin band

At 1.5 mm this is a fine band by design. It is comfortable and it flatters the stone, but a thin shank is more prone to bending out of round if the ring is knocked hard or worn during heavy work. Take it off for gardening, weights and manual jobs. If you want the same look with more durability, tell us and we will make it at 1.8 mm at no extra cost.

Made to order in our own workshop

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat, India. Every ring is made by our own team once you order. Micropave at this scale is set under magnification, stone by stone, and the hidden halo goes in before the centre stone. If you would like the band a little heavier, the pave extended, or the hidden halo left out, tell us in the order notes before we begin.

Care

Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale and stands up well to daily wear. Clean with warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, paying attention to the hidden halo under the stone where lotion collects. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Have the micropave beads checked once a year, as with any fine pave.

Resizing

The back of the band is plain, so this ring resizes by one to two sizes. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure of the finger size and we will help you measure.

Questions people ask

Is the centre stone a diamond? No. Every stone in this ring is moissanite, its own gemstone. We do not describe it as a diamond.

Does a thin band really make the stone look bigger? Yes. The eye compares the stone to the metal beside it, so a narrower shank makes the same stone read noticeably larger across the finger.

Is a 1.5 mm band strong enough? For normal daily wear, yes, particularly in 14K or 18K gold. It is not the right choice if you keep the ring on for manual work, and we are happy to make it slightly heavier if you prefer.

Can I wear a wedding band with it? Yes, and this is one of the easiest to pair. The low head and slim shank mean a straight band sits flush against it.

Does the price change with carat size? Yes. The 2 carat is the base price and each larger size adds a small amount. The exact price appears when you select a combination.
