An emerald cut moissanite on a petite polished band with marquise and round accents alternating along each shoulder. The pattern is deliberately sparse: a marquise laid lengthwise, then a round, then a marquise, with clear metal showing between each, stopping well before the back of the ring. A small accent also sits beneath the setting where the head meets the shank.

Why this ring works

This is the restrained version of a marquise and round eternity band. Rather than covering the shank, the pattern is used sparingly on the shoulders only, on a band under two millimetres wide. That keeps almost all the visual weight on the centre stone while still giving the shoulders something to do. It is the arrangement to choose if you like the alternating rhythm but want a ring that reads as a solitaire rather than as a set band.

Setting and band

Four claw prongs hold the corners of the emerald cut above an open gallery, with a single round accent set beneath the head where it meets the shank. Marquise cut and round brilliant moissanite accents alternate along both shoulders, each claw set with plain polished metal between them, ending well before the base of the ring. The shank is petite and round, approximately one point seven millimetres. Metal is solid throughout with a polished interior.

Metal options

Choose from recycled 925 sterling silver, or solid 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. Yellow gold, as photographed, keeps the spacing between accents visible, which is the whole point of a sparse pattern. Rose gold does the same warmer. White gold and sterling silver pull the accents closer together visually and the pattern reads denser than it is. White gold is rhodium finished.

Ring sizing

Every ring is made to order in your size. Sizes run from 3 to 13, including half sizes. The plain back of the shank leaves room for minor adjustment later, which is one advantage of stopping the pattern at the shoulders. Contact us if you are unsure and we will help before production starts.

Care

Far easier to keep clean than a fully set band, but each claw setting still collects lint. Clean every few weeks with warm water, mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush, working around each accent and under the head where the hidden accent sits. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

How is this different from a marquise eternity band? Coverage. This one places the alternating pattern on the shoulders only, on a much slimmer shank, so the centre stone keeps all the attention.

How many accent stones are there? The alternating run is proportioned to your finger size and centre stone weight, so the count varies slightly while the spacing stays the same.

Is a one point seven millimetre band durable? In 10K, 14K and 18K gold it is fine for daily wear. Sterling silver at this width is softer and will show wear sooner, which is worth knowing before you choose.

Which metal should I choose? Yellow or rose gold to keep the spacing legible. White gold or sterling silver for a denser, brighter shoulder. For daily wear over decades, 14K balances colour and durability best.
