An emerald cut moissanite in four claws, with each shoulder carrying a small branch of sculpted metal leaves. The leaves are solid gold or silver, shaped and polished rather than set with stones, and between each pair sits a single small round moissanite in raised claws. The pattern stops before the back of the finger, where the band returns to a plain slim shank.

Because the leaves are metal rather than gemstones, the shoulders read as a warm sculpted line rather than a row of sparkle. It is a much quieter kind of nature inspired design than one built entirely from set stones, and it lets the emerald cut stay the only large bright thing on the hand.

How it compares to our other nature inspired emerald cut rings

We list every design separately. Our twisted vine ring splits the whole shank into two strands that wind around each other, and its leaves are marquise cut moissanite rather than metal. This ring keeps a single solid band and makes the leaves out of metal instead, with only small round accents between them. It is the more restrained of the two, it costs less because there are fewer set stones, and it is the easier of the two to keep clean since there is no openwork to trap anything.

Metals and sizes

Choose from 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. All gold is solid, not plated and not filled. White gold is rhodium finished. Yellow gold, as photographed, suits this design best because metal leaves need a warm colour to read as foliage; in white gold they read as a more abstract sculpted shape. Centre stone sizes run from 2 carat to 5 carat.

Made to order in our own workshop

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat, India. Every ring is made by our own team once you order. Each leaf is shaped and polished individually before the accents are set, which is why the pattern is never quite identical from one ring to the next. If you would like more leaves, fewer accents, or the pattern carried further round the band, tell us in the order notes before we begin.

Care

Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale and stands up to daily wear. Clean with warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, working around the base of each leaf where polish and lotion collect. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth. The leaves stand slightly proud of the band, so take the ring off before heavy manual work.

Resizing

The back of the band is plain, so this ring resizes by one to two sizes without touching the leaves or the accents. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure of the finger size and we will help you measure.

Made to order, typically ready to dispatch in 10 to 14 working days because the leaves are hand shaped, with worldwide insured shipping and tracking. Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery on unworn items in original condition.

Questions people ask

Is the centre stone a diamond? No. Every stone in this ring is moissanite, a gemstone in its own right. We do not describe it as a diamond.

Are the leaves set with stones? No. The leaves are solid metal. Only the small rounds between them are moissanite.

Will the leaves catch on clothing? They stand a little proud but they are rounded and polished with no sharp edges, so they catch far less than a claw set accent would.

Can I wear a wedding band with it? A straight band sits close against the plain back of the shank but will meet the leaves at the front. A contoured band follows the shoulder line more closely.

Does the price change with carat size? Yes. The 2 carat is the base price and each larger size adds a small amount. The exact price appears when you select a combination.
