The head is a plain four sided basket that tapers to a V where it meets the shank, so the setting appears to grow out of the band rather than sit on top of it. No pave, no milgrain, no hidden halo. Why this ring works

Setting and band

Four claw prongs hold the corners of the emerald cut in a plain four sided basket, open on all sides, which narrows into a V shaped junction where it meets the shank. The band has a flat outer face with square edges and a comfort rounded interior. Band width is approximately two millimetres, the same all the way around. Metal is solid throughout with a polished finish.

Metal options

Choose from recycled 925 sterling silver, or solid 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. Yellow gold, as photographed, gives the flat face enough surface to show real colour, and the square edges keep it looking modern rather than heavy. Rose gold does the same warmer. White gold and sterling silver make the edges read sharper still. White gold is rhodium finished.

Care

With no pave and no gallery ornament, this is among the easiest rings to keep clean. Wash with warm water, mild dish soap and a soft cloth, brushing under the basket where dust settles. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth. The flat face will collect fine surface marks over years, and a jeweller can repolish it in minutes.
