Emerald Cut Moissanite Engraved Vine Bezel Accent Engagement Ring

An emerald cut moissanite set low in a flat topped head, on a band carved with a hand engraved trailing vine. Small round moissanite accents are flush set into the engraving at intervals along the pattern, each sunk level with the metal surface so nothing protrudes. The vine runs the full circumference of the shank, and there is a further accent tucked beneath the setting.

Why this ring works

Flush setting, sometimes called gypsy or burnished setting, sinks each accent stone into a drilled seat and burnishes the surrounding metal over its edge. The result is a stone that sits perfectly level with the band. Combined with engraving, it means the entire ring has no raised claws anywhere, on the accents or around the pattern. Nothing snags, nothing catches on fabric, and the vine reads as a continuous carved surface with points of light set into it rather than stones stuck on top of it.

Setting and band

The emerald cut sits low in a flat topped head with corner claws that stay level with the table. A trailing vine and leaf pattern is hand engraved around the full circumference of the shank, on the top face and both flanks. Round brilliant moissanite accents are flush set into the engraved surface at intervals, burnished level with the metal, with an additional accent set beneath the head. Band width is approximately two millimetres. Metal is solid throughout with a polished interior.

Metal options

Choose from recycled 925 sterling silver, or solid 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. Yellow gold, as photographed, gives the engraved vine the depth it needs and rings each flush set accent in a bright halo of burnished metal. Rose gold does the same in a softer tone. White gold and sterling silver make the accents blend into the surface. White gold is rhodium finished.

Ring sizing

Every ring is made to order in your size. Sizes run from 3 to 13, including half sizes. The engraving and the flush set accents run the full circumference, so order the correct size rather than planning to resize. Contact us if you are unsure and we will help before production starts.

Care

Engraved grooves collect soap film even though the accents themselves do not. Clean every few weeks with warm water, mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush, working along the vine in both directions. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth. There are no prong tips on this ring to check or retip.

Questions people ask

What is flush setting? The stone is dropped into a seat drilled into the metal and the surrounding surface is burnished over its edge, so the table sits level with the band. It is the most secure way to set a small stone and the least likely to snag.

Can flush set stones fall out? They are among the most secure settings there is, because the metal is worked over the entire girdle rather than gripping at four points.

How many accents are there? The accents are spaced along the vine and their count is proportioned to your finger size. The spacing and stone size stay the same.

Which metal should I choose? Yellow or rose gold to give the engraving depth and outline each accent. White gold or sterling silver for a quieter, more uniform surface. For daily wear over decades, 14K balances colour and durability best.
