An emerald cut moissanite in four slim claws, with a band that divides into two separate pave set strands on each shoulder. The two rows run side by side down toward the finger, each carrying its own line of small round moissanite, and rejoin as a single plain band at the back. Pave continues onto the gallery beneath the head, so the arches under the centre stone sparkle too when you look at the ring in profile.

Two rows do something a single row cannot: they widen the shoulders without making the band heavy, and the narrow channel of bare metal between them catches a highlight that separates the two lines cleanly. On the finger the effect is a broad bright base narrowing to a clean centre stone, which makes the emerald cut look longer than it does on a plain shank.

We list every design separately. Our crossover split shank leaves the strands plain and polished with only three graduated accents at each shoulder, so it reads mostly as metal. Our hidden halo twist spirals the two strands around each other. This one keeps the two strands running parallel and sets pave along both, which makes it by far the brightest of the three and the widest across the shoulders. Metals and sizes

Choose from 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. All gold is solid, not plated and not filled. White gold is rhodium finished and is the metal shown here, which lets the two pave rows read as continuous light. In yellow or rose gold the bare channel between the rows becomes more visible and the split is easier to see. Centre stone sizes run from 2 carat to 5 carat.

Made to order in our own workshop

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat, India. Every ring is made by our own team once you order. Two parallel rows of pave means twice the setting work of a single row, plus the gallery, which is why this design carries a longer lead time. If you would like a single row instead, the pave carried further round, or a plain gallery, tell us in the order notes before we begin.

Care

Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale and copes well with daily wear. Clean with warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, working the brush along the channel between the two rows and up into the gallery, since both trap lotion. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Have the pave beads checked by a jeweller once a year, as with any closely set stones.

Resizing

The back of the band is plain, so this ring resizes by one to two sizes without touching the pave. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure of the finger size and we will help you measure.

Questions people ask

Is the centre stone a diamond? No. Every stone in this ring is moissanite, a gemstone in its own right. We do not describe it as a diamond.

Does the split make the ring uncomfortable? No. The two strands are rounded on the inside and the back of the band is a single smooth shank, which is the part that actually sits against the finger.

Will a wedding band sit flush? A straight band meets the point where the two strands rejoin, so it sits close but not perfectly flush against the split. A contoured band follows the V of the split and closes the gap completely.

How many accent stones are there? It varies with finger size, since the rows are set to length. On a typical size the two rows together carry roughly sixty small stones, plus the gallery.

Does the price change with carat size? Yes. The 2 carat is the base price and each larger size adds a small amount. The exact price appears when you select a combination.
