Emerald Cut Moissanite Botanical Scatter Accent Engagement Ring

An emerald cut moissanite in four claws with a spray of accents growing along each shoulder. Marquise and round moissanite in several different sizes are claw set at varying angles, some tipped up, some lying flat, with short lengths of bare metal between them like stems. The scatter runs about a third of the way down each side and then the band returns to a plain slim wire.

The point of this design is that nothing is symmetrical or evenly spaced. Real foliage is not, and neither is this. Large marquise sit next to small rounds, gaps open and close, and the two sides mirror each other only loosely. It is the most decorated of our botanical emerald cut rings and the one that covers the most of the finger.

How it compares to our other botanical emerald cut rings

We list every design separately. Our marquise cluster ring gathers just three accents into a tight group at each side of the stone and leaves everything else bare. Our twisted vine ring splits the shank into two strands and runs the accents along the whole circumference. This one keeps a single solid band but covers a third of each shoulder with a dense, irregular spray of mixed shapes and sizes. If you want the most foliage without an openwork shank, this is the one.

Metals and sizes

Choose from 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. All gold is solid, not plated and not filled. White gold is rhodium finished. Yellow gold, as photographed, is the natural choice here because the visible metal between the stones reads as stem; in white gold the same layout reads as scattered light rather than as a plant. Centre stone sizes run from 2 carat to 5 carat.

Made to order in our own workshop

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat, India. Every ring is made by our own team once you order. Because each accent is angled individually by hand, no two rings come out exactly alike, which we consider part of the character rather than a fault. If you would like a denser or sparser scatter, or the pattern carried further down the band, tell us in the order notes before we begin.

Care

Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale and stands up to daily wear. Clean with warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, working carefully between the accents where the gaps are narrow and irregular. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth. There are many small claws on this ring, so take it off before manual work and have the settings checked once a year.

Resizing

The back of the band is plain, so this ring resizes by one to two sizes without disturbing the accents. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure of the finger size and we will help you measure.

Questions people ask

Is the centre stone a diamond? No. Every stone in this ring is moissanite, a gemstone in its own right. We do not describe it as a diamond.

Why are the two sides not identical? Deliberately. An exactly mirrored layout would look mechanical; the slight asymmetry is what makes the spray read as growing rather than arranged.

Will the marquise points catch? They stand a little proud. Moissanite is hard, and each point is covered by a claw, but this is a design to take off before heavy manual work.

Can I wear a wedding band with it? A straight band sits flush against the plain back. At the front it will meet the scatter, so a contoured band or wearing the ring alone suits it better.

Does the price change with carat size? Yes. The 2 carat is the base price and each larger size adds a small amount. The exact price appears when you select a combination.
