Oval Moissanite Hidden Halo Ring with Marquise Station Band

A raised oval, a secret halo and a band of marquise and round stones. The most detailed of our oval designs, and what that detail asks of you.

Written by the Mapple Gems workshop, Surat Β· Updated 13 October 2026

Short answer: This ring raises an oval moissanite above a hidden halo of micro-pavΓ©, on a band with alternating marquise and round accents in shared prongs. It is made to order in 925 silver or solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold, from 2 to 5 carats. It sparkles from every angle; the trade-offs are height and the number of settings to look after.

We make several oval rings with marquise accents. This one combines the most detail: the oval sits high, a hidden halo wraps its base, and the shoulders carry marquise and round stones in shared prongs. The look is vintage and romantic. Our latest order was a 2 carat oval in sterling silver.

What the detail asks of you

A raised centre on a hidden halo catches more on gloves and bags, so check the side view of the CAD preview. Shared prongs hold two stones each, so a bent prong can loosen two accents. And many small stones mean small pockets where hand cream collects. None of this is a problem with simple habits: a setting check every two years in gold (yearly in silver) and a five-minute soak in warm soapy water every couple of weeks.

From the workshop

Our latest customer chose the 2 carat oval in sterling silver. For a detailed design like this, 2 carats is a smart size: the head stays lower and lighter than at 4 or 5 carats, so the raised setting carries less leverage, and the marquise band reads in proportion. In silver, the shared prongs on the band are the first thing to wear. Brush the band from underneath when cleaning β€” marquise accents sit close together and film collects behind them, which makes the band look duller long before anything is wrong.

Before you order: a short checklist

  1. Ask for the oval’s millimetres at your chosen carat and do a paper test.
  2. Check the head height on the CAD side view.
  3. Confirm marquise points sit under prongs.
  4. Get your size right first; a stone-set band limits resizing.
  5. Choose 14K gold for daily wear.

Frequently asked questions

What is a marquise station band?

A band with marquise-shaped stones set at intervals along it, here alternating with small rounds.

Does the hidden halo make the ring sit higher?

Yes. It sits under the oval, which raises the stone. Check the side view before ordering.

What are shared prongs?

Prongs that each hold the edges of two neighbouring stones, letting them sit close with little metal between.

Can this ring be resized?

Only within limits, because accents line the shoulders. Get the size right first.

How do I keep it sparkling?

Soak it in warm soapy water for five minutes and brush gently from underneath every couple of weeks.
