1.50 CT Oval Moissanite Bridal Set with Marquise Accents

A modest oval made generous by its accents, and a band shaped to sit flush beside it. How to get a big look from a smaller centre.

Written by the Mapple Gems workshop, Surat Β· Updated 13 October 2026

Short answer: This bridal set pairs a 1.50 carat oval moissanite engagement ring, framed by round and marquise accents (about 0.80 ct total), with a matching band shaped to sit flush against it. It is made to order in 925 silver or solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold. The accents widen the head so the 1.50 carat centre reads larger than its weight.

Not everyone wants a large centre stone. This set shows how accents can do the work instead: small rounds and marquises around a 1.50 carat oval add width and sparkle, and the band is shaped so the two rings read as one piece. Our latest order was in 14K white gold.

Oval moissanite bridal set with matching band, alternate view

Accents as a size lever

Approach Effect Trade-off
Larger centre stone More stone, more height Sits higher, more fire
Accents around a modest centre (this set) Wider head, more sparkle More settings to check
Thin band Stone looks bigger by contrast Needs enough thickness

Small accents look bright and white, because moissanite’s rainbow fire needs depth to show; the centre carries the colour. Marquise accents have points, which should sit under prongs.

From the workshop

This was one of our very first bridal sets to be ordered, in 14K white gold. A set designed to sit flush has one rule worth knowing: the band is shaped to this ring, so resize the two together if either ever changes. White gold’s brightness comes from rhodium plating that needs renewing every one to two years; when you have it done, ask for the accent settings to be checked at the same time. And keep the rings in separate pouches β€” the accents will scratch the band if stored together.

Before you order: a short checklist

  1. Confirm the marquise points sit under prongs on the CAD.
  2. Size the two rings together, as a pair.
  3. Choose 14K gold for daily wear.
  4. Plan to resize and service the rings together.
  5. Store the rings separately.

Frequently asked questions

How many carats is this bridal set?

A 1.50 carat oval centre plus about 0.80 carats of round and marquise accents.

Does the band sit flush?

Yes. It is shaped to sit against this engagement ring so the pair reads as one piece.

Do accents make the centre look bigger?

Yes. They widen the head, so a modest centre reads larger than its weight.

Should the rings be resized together?

Yes, so the band still fits flush against the engagement ring.

Are the accents moissanite?

Yes, round and marquise cut moissanite, as listed.
