A marquise cut lab grown diamond held in six prongs rather than the usual four, over a hidden halo, with the vintage proportions the marquise is historically associated with. The extra pair of prongs is the point of this design. A marquise is long and comparatively shallow, so the span of unsupported girdle between the tip prongs is greater than on any compact cut. Adding a prong to each side closes that span and holds the stone more securely, which matters increasingly as the carat weight climbs. The V prongs still cap both points. Frequently asked questions

Why six prongs instead of four?
Security across a long span. On a marquise the distance between the point prongs is the largest of any common cut, and four prongs leave the middle of each side unsupported. Six close that gap. The trade is that you see slightly more metal on the stone.

How does this differ from your other six prong marquise?
The other one is a plain six claw solitaire with no halo. This version adds a hidden halo under the basket and is styled and photographed as a vintage piece. Same prong logic, different look.

Does six prongs cover too much of the diamond?
Marginally. Each prong sits on the girdle rather than across the table, so the effect on the face up view is small, and most people accept it readily at 4 and 5 carat where security matters most.

Is a marquise a fragile cut?
Only at the two points, which is why they sit under V prongs. The body of the stone is as hard as any other diamond.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

How long does it take to make?
