All gold options are solid gold, never plated or filled. Sterling silver is the metal shown in the photographs and it is the most accessible way to own the design. White gold is finished with rhodium for a very similar bright white surface with considerably more durability, and is the usual upgrade for a ring worn every day.

Ring size

Choose your ring size at checkout and both rings are made to that size. We make every size from US 3 to US 13, including half sizes, at no additional cost. If you are unsure of the size, order anyway and contact us after checkout, we will help you confirm it before the set goes into production.

Does the price cover both rings

Yes. The price shown is for the complete set, the engagement ring and the matching wedding band together. Both are made in the metal and size you select.

Why buy the set rather than the ring alone

Because the two rings are made together. A wedding band bought separately is very unlikely to sit flush against an existing engagement ring, which is why so many people end up with a visible gap or a band that rocks. Making both at once means the profiles are cut to meet.

What is a cushion cut

A cushion cut is a square or rectangular stone with rounded corners, named because the outline resembles a pillow. Its facets are larger and more open than those of a modern round brilliant, which gives it a softer, warmer sparkle often described as candlelit rather than icy.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond

Yes. A lab grown diamond is real diamond. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale, the same refractive index and the same fire and brilliance as a mined diamond. The only difference is that it was grown in a controlled laboratory over a few weeks instead of underground over billions of years. No jeweller can tell the difference by eye, only specialist equipment reading growth patterns can separate the two.

How does sterling silver compare with white gold here

Sterling silver looks very similar to rhodium finished white gold when new, and it is the least expensive option by a wide margin. It is softer, so it marks and bends more readily and will need occasional polishing. For a set worn daily over many years, 14K or 18K white gold is the more practical choice, and the design is identical in either.

Does this set come with a certificate

Yes. Every set ships with a free IGI certificate for the centre stone. IGI is the International Gemological Institute, one of the largest independent diamond grading laboratories in the world. The certificate confirms the carat weight, the E colour grade, the VVS2 clarity grade and the laboratory grown origin. There is no extra charge for the certificate.

What does E colour VVS2 actually mean

E colour is the second highest grade on the diamond colour scale and sits inside the colourless range, so the diamond looks bright white with no warm or yellow tint. VVS2 means very very slightly included, the second highest clarity tier. Any inclusions are so small that a trained grader needs 10x magnification to find them and they are completely invisible to the naked eye.

Why buy a lab grown diamond

A lab grown diamond gives you a materially identical stone for a fraction of the price of a mined equivalent, and on a bridal set that saving applies twice over, across the centre stone and every diamond in the band. Because the origin of every stone is documented from the moment it is grown, a lab grown diamond is conflict free by definition. Growing a diamond also avoids the open pit excavation, land disruption and water use that mining a comparable stone requires.
