A two ring bridal set pairing a pear cut lab grown diamond flanked by trilliant side stones with a matching wedding band. The trilliants are the reason this set reads differently from a plain pear solitaire, their straight edges sit against the shoulders of the pear and give the setting a wide, architectural top that a round side stone could not, while the point of the centre stone still leads the eye down the finger. The band is made alongside the ring so the two nest rather than leaving the gap a pear usually creates. Every diamond is a laboratory grown diamond, identical in carbon structure, hardness and brilliance to a mined diamond, graded E colour and VVS2 clarity. Does the price cover both rings

Yes. The price shown is for the complete set, the engagement ring and the matching wedding band together. Both are made in the metal and size you select.

What is a trilliant cut

A trilliant is a triangular stone with three sides, cut shallow and wide so it covers a lot of surface for its weight. That makes it an efficient side stone, and its straight edges sit flush against the shoulders of a centre stone in a way a round accent cannot. The pointed corners are protected by prongs.

Why do pear rings usually leave a gap at the band

Because the base of a pear is rounded, so a straight wedding band meets a curve and cannot sit flush. It is the most common complaint about pear engagement rings bought without a band. Making both rings together, as here, lets us cut the band profile to follow the setting.

Is the point of a pear diamond fragile

The point is the most vulnerable part of the shape, which is why a well made pear setting always protects it with a V prong that wraps around the tip from both sides. That is how this ring is built.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond

Yes. A lab grown diamond is real diamond. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale, the same refractive index and the same fire and brilliance as a mined diamond. The only difference is that it was grown in a controlled laboratory over a few weeks instead of underground over billions of years. No jeweller can tell the difference by eye, only specialist equipment reading growth patterns can separate the two.

Does this set come with a certificate

Yes. Every set ships with a free IGI certificate for the centre stone. IGI is the International Gemological Institute, one of the largest independent diamond grading laboratories in the world. The certificate confirms the carat weight, the E colour grade, the VVS2 clarity grade and the laboratory grown origin. There is no extra charge for the certificate.

What does E colour VVS2 actually mean

E colour is the second highest grade on the diamond colour scale and sits inside the colourless range, so the diamond looks bright white with no warm or yellow tint. VVS2 means very very slightly included, the second highest clarity tier. Any inclusions are so small that a trained grader needs 10x magnification to find them and they are completely invisible to the naked eye.

Why buy a lab grown diamond

A lab grown diamond gives you a materially identical stone for a fraction of the price of a mined equivalent, and on a bridal set that saving applies across the centre, both trilliants and every stone in the band. Matched trilliants are also awkward to source as mined stones, since they must agree in colour, clarity and proportion. Because the origin of every stone is documented from the moment it is grown, a lab grown diamond is conflict free by definition.
