Toi et moi means you and me. This ring carries that idea literally, setting two lab grown diamonds side by side on one shank rather than building the design around a single centre stone. A pear sits against an oval, the pear tip angled inward so the two outlines interlock instead of sitting apart as separate stones. Both diamonds are E colour, VVS2 clarity, held in fine claw prongs on a slim plain band that keeps every bit of attention on the pair. Each stone is set at the same carat weight you choose, so a 3 carat selection gives you two 3 carat diamonds rather than one split between them. Made to order in Surat by our own bench, in ten metal choices, with a free IGI certificate for the centre stones.

Side stone details

This design has no side stones. The band is left completely plain so the two diamonds read as one continuous line of light across the finger. If you would prefer pave along the shoulders or a hidden halo beneath the stones, we can build that version to order.

Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. The ring is photographed in yellow gold, which warms the two stones and suits the soft asymmetry of the design. White gold and rhodium finished metals push the diamonds cooler and brighter. Rose gold sits between the two. For a ring worn every day we suggest 14K, which is harder than 18K and holds fine prongs better over years of wear.

Every ring is made to your finger size, so choose your size at checkout. If you are unsure, order a free size guide or measure an existing ring at its inside diameter. Because a toi et moi head spans wider across the finger than a single stone ring, a size that feels correct on a solitaire usually fits this design too, but a snug rather than loose fit is better here so the two stones stay upright.

What does toi et moi mean?
It is French for you and me. The style dates to the late eighteenth century and pairs two stones on one ring to represent two people joined together, which is why it is chosen so often for engagements and anniversaries.

Are both diamonds the same carat weight?
Yes. The carat you select applies to each stone, so a 2 carat selection means two 2 carat lab grown diamonds, roughly 4 carats of total diamond weight.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. It is chemically, physically and optically identical to a mined diamond. The only difference is that it was grown in a laboratory over a few weeks instead of forming underground over millions of years.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. An IGI certificate for the centre stones is included free with every order. It records the colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight of the diamonds you receive.

Which stone sits closer to the fingertip?
As photographed, the pear points toward the outer edge of the hand and the oval sits alongside it. We can build the ring the other way around at no extra cost if you prefer.

Will the pear tip catch on clothing?
The tip is protected by a V prong and set close against the oval, which shields it. A pear point is the most vulnerable part of any pear ring, so we set it low and check the prong at every service.

How long does it take to make?
Each ring is made to order. Production usually takes ten to fourteen working days, plus shipping time to your address.
