A large round brilliant lab grown diamond in four claws, above a head whose gallery, basket rails and bridge are all pave set, on a shank that carries diamonds across its top and down both sides to the back of the finger.

Most of the diamonds on this ring are in places the wearer never looks at. That is the whole idea. On a big centre stone the head has to be tall enough to hold the pavilion, which leaves a substantial amount of visible metal underneath, and in profile that metal is what the ring actually looks like from every angle except straight down. Covering the gallery rails and the bridge with pave turns that structural mass into part of the design, so the ring viewed from the side is a lattice of small stones supporting a large one rather than a diamond sitting on a lump of gold. Running the shank pave over the top and both walls continues the same treatment all the way round, and the effect is that the ring reads as bright metal at every angle. It costs a great deal more setting labour than a plain gallery, which is why very few rings at this price are finished this way.

Band details

The shank rises gently toward the head in a low cathedral curve and carries pave on three faces for most of its circumference. The inner surface is comfort rounded and the very back is left plain for resizing.

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. White gold is shown in the photographs, where the pave gallery reads as a fine bright framework under the stone.

Frequently asked questions

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour as a mined diamond and is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

What is a pave gallery
The gallery is the open metalwork between the centre stone and the shank. Setting it with small diamonds means the ring is decorated on the parts that are only visible from the side.

Is this the same as a hidden halo
No. A hidden halo is a single row of stones immediately under the girdle. Here the whole basket structure is set, including the rails and the bridge lower down.

Does all that pave make the ring heavy
No. The stones replace metal rather than adding to it, and the open basket keeps the head light.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, within a size or so. The back of the shank is plain and resizing is done there.

How long does the ring take to make
Each ring is made to order. The gallery setting is slow work, so allow sixteen to twenty working days before dispatch.
