Two rings sold together. The engagement ring holds an oval lab grown diamond in four claws above a hidden halo, on a slim shank finely pave set with round brilliants. An eternity band of ovals is a much harder object to make than one of rounds, and the difference is worth explaining. A round stone can be rotated freely in its seat without changing how it looks, so a setter can nudge each one to close a gap. An oval has a long axis and a short one, which means every stone has exactly one correct orientation and no freedom at all: if a single oval sits a degree off line, the row develops a visible wobble that runs the length of the band. Each stone must also be matched to its neighbours in length as well as diameter, because two ovals of the same weight but different proportions will not sit level. The pay off is the reason people ask for it anyway. Laid end to end, ovals cover far more of the band's surface than rounds of the same weight, so the finished ring reads as a continuous ribbon of diamond with almost no metal showing between one stone and the next.

Band details

The engagement ring shank is slim so that the eternity band, which is necessarily wider because of the ovals it carries, becomes the heavier of the two. That contrast is intentional: it stops the pair reading as two versions of the same ring and lets each be worn alone without looking incomplete.

Metal options

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Both rings are made in the metal you select and both are fully hallmarked. Yellow gold is shown in the photographs.

Ring size

Both rings are made to your finger size. Select your size at checkout. Because the eternity band carries stones around its full circumference we build it to your size rather than resizing it afterwards, so please confirm your size carefully. Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It is carbon in the same crystal structure as a mined diamond, with the same hardness and the same optical properties, graded on the same scales.

Does the set come with a certificate

Why are oval eternity bands more expensive than round ones
Because every oval has one correct orientation and must be matched to its neighbours in both length and width. There is no room to adjust a stone in its seat, so the calibration has to be exact before setting begins.

Can the eternity band be resized
Not in the usual way, since it carries stones all the way round. We build it to your size, and we can remake a section later if your size changes significantly.

Can the rings be worn separately
Yes. Each is a finished ring in its own right and the eternity band works alone as an anniversary ring.

How long does the set take to make
Each set is made to order. Calibrating and setting an oval eternity band is slow work, so production usually takes sixteen to twenty working days before dispatch.
