A round brilliant lab grown diamond in four slender claws, set in a compact head close to the finger, on a band so fine it reads as a line rather than a ring.

Two decisions define this piece and they work together. The first is the compact head. Instead of the tall four claw basket that most solitaires use, the metal here is cut back to the minimum needed to hold the girdle, so from above almost none of it is visible and the diamond appears to sit directly on the finger. The second is the shank, reduced to a fine round wire. Neither alone would be remarkable, but combined they change the proportion of stone to metal so completely that a two carat round reads as considerably larger than it does in a conventional mount. There is a practical benefit as well. A low compact head has nothing standing proud to catch on a sleeve or a pocket, and it lets a flat wedding band sit tight against the ring without a gap, which taller settings never do.

Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour as a mined diamond and is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Does a fine band make the diamond look bigger
Yes. Perceived size is relative, and reducing the metal around the stone is the cheapest and most effective way to make a diamond read larger.

Is a low set ring easier to wear
Considerably. There is less standing above the finger to catch, and a wedding band sits flush against it.

Will the claws hold a five carat stone on a band this fine
Yes. The claws and basket are engineered for the stone weight independently of the shank. If you prefer more metal we will thicken the shank at no extra cost.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, easily. The band carries no stones.

How long does the ring take to make
