A round brilliant lab grown diamond held by eight claws arranged as four close pairs, above a hidden halo, on a band that alternates marquise cut accents with small round diamonds. Eight claws is unusual on a round stone. Four or six is the norm, and going to eight in paired sets does two things. It grips a large stone at more points, which matters at four and five carats, and it draws a ring of fine double lines around the crown that is clearly visible from above. The band continues the idea of mixing shapes. A marquise lies along the shoulder, then a small round, then another marquise, each held in its own claws so the shoulders read as a deliberate sequence rather than a uniform line of pave. Band details

Marquise cut accent diamonds alternate with smaller round accents along both shoulders, each stone individually claw set with polished metal visible between them. The lower half of the shank is left plain for comfort and to keep resizing straightforward.

Frequently asked questions

Why eight claws on a round diamond?
More claws means more contact points, which is worth having on a large stone. Set as four pairs rather than eight singles they also form a visible pattern around the crown, so the choice is structural and decorative at once.

Do eight claws hide more of the diamond?
Barely. Each claw in a pair is finer than a single claw would be, so the total metal touching the stone is close to that of a four claw setting, just distributed across more points.

What are the marquise accents for?
They break up the rhythm of the band. Alternating a long pointed marquise with a small round gives the shoulders a sequence of different shapes and lengths of flash, which is more interesting than an even line of identical stones.

What is a hidden halo?
A ring of small pave set diamonds around the collar beneath the centre stone, facing outward. It is invisible from the front and appears only in profile or as the hand moves.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
