A two piece bridal set. The engagement ring is a marquise cut lab grown diamond set north to south in six claws on a fine plain band. The wedding band that sits beneath it is a twisted vine, two strands of metal crossing over each other with pave diamonds set along one strand and polished metal on the other. The pairing is deliberate. A marquise is all straight lines and points, and setting it above a curving twisted band gives the stack a contrast that two matching straight bands never achieve. The vine also curves away from the centre stone where the two rings meet, so the marquise sits into the gap rather than sitting on top of the band. Both rings are included in the price. What is included

Two rings. The engagement ring with the certified marquise centre stone, and the matching twisted vine pave wedding band. Both are made in the same metal and to the same finger size, and both are included in the price shown.

Wedding band details

Two strands of metal twist around each other along the length of the band. One strand is set with round pave diamonds, the other is left polished, so the sparkle spirals rather than running in a straight line. The twist opens slightly at the top so the band nestles against the engagement ring instead of sitting flat against it.

Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. Both rings are made in the metal you choose. Yellow gold, as photographed, shows the twist most clearly because the polished strand catches light differently from the pave one. White gold and sterling silver blend the two strands into a single bright line.

Ring size

Both rings are made to your finger size, so choose your size at checkout. The engagement ring resizes easily. The twisted band can be resized but the twist has to be reworked at the join, so please order carefully. Ask us for a free size guide if you are unsure.

Frequently asked questions

Are both rings included?
Yes. The price shown covers the engagement ring and the twisted vine wedding band together, in the metal and carat weight you select.

Why pair a marquise with a twisted band?
Contrast. The marquise is angular and pointed, the vine is curved and organic. Placing them together makes each one more noticeable than pairing the marquise with another straight band would.

Does the wedding band sit flush against the engagement ring?
It nestles rather than sits flush. The twist opens at the top so the curve of the vine follows the underside of the marquise setting, which closes the gap that a straight band would leave beneath a pointed stone.

Why six claws on a marquise?
Each of the two points gets a V shaped claw that caps and protects it, and four more claws hold the belly so the stone cannot rotate. Four claws alone would leave the points exposed.

Can the twisted band be worn on its own?
Yes. It works as a stacking ring or an anniversary band by itself, which is part of why we make it as a separate ring rather than soldering the two together.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut and carat weight.

Does a marquise look larger than other shapes?
Yes, it has the greatest surface area per carat of any common diamond shape, so it covers more finger than a round of the same weight.
