A princess cut lab grown diamond set square to the finger, held by four rounded claws at the corners, above a hidden halo. The halo underneath is square, cut to follow the outline of the stone including its right angled corners, rather than a round collar tucked below a square. Setting a princess square rather than turned on its corner keeps the geometry upright and formal, so the flat edges of the stone run parallel with the band and the whole ring reads as a series of straight lines. A single row of pave continues along both shoulders. E colour, VVS2 clarity throughout, free IGI certificate for the centre stone. Made to order in Surat in ten metals and four carat weights.

The hidden halo shows only from the side, so warm metals give it a distinct glow against the gold as the hand moves. White gold makes the halo and the pave read as one continuous line of light running up to the stone.

Ring size

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from your other princess cut ring?
That one is kite set, turned forty five degrees so it stands on a corner, with accents scattered unevenly along the shoulders and no halo. This one is set square, has a hidden halo underneath, and carries a continuous row of pave.

Why does the hidden halo need to be square?
Because the stone is. A round collar under a square outline leaves gaps at the corners and looks like a mismatched component when seen from the side.

Are the corners of a princess cut vulnerable?
They are the thinnest part of the stone, which is why each corner sits inside a claw here rather than being left exposed.

What is a hidden halo?
A ring of small diamonds set around the underside of the centre stone, below the girdle. It is invisible from above and only appears from the side.

Will the pave stones need checking?
Bead set pave is secure but benefits from a check every year or two. Our lifetime pave and prong check covers this at no charge for as long as you own the ring.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.
