A pear cut lab grown diamond held by a V claw at the tip, with a concealed halo under the girdle and a second line of small diamonds set along the bridge that spans the underside of the head, on a plain band.

Two rows at two different heights is the whole idea. The concealed halo sits immediately beneath the girdle and reads as a fine outline hugging the stone. The bridge is the horizontal bar that crosses the underside of the setting and carries the load from one side of the shank to the other, and setting it turns the lowest structural element of the head into a second bright line, several millimetres below the first and running across rather than around. Looking at the ring from the side you therefore see the pear, then a curved line of light following its shape, then a straight line of light beneath that. The band is plain so those three registers stay legible, and the whole arrangement is invisible from directly above, where the ring simply looks like a pear solitaire.
