A large pear cut lab grown diamond held by a V claw and shoulder claws, with a concealed halo following the full outline of the stone beneath a polished rail, on a band micropave set with very small round brilliants.

The head here is built as two layers. The upper layer is a polished rail that traces the entire pear outline at girdle height, which does two useful things. It gives the claws something to sit on so they can be short and unobtrusive rather than long and clasping, and it protects the whole edge of the stone, not just the tip. The lower layer is the concealed halo, set into the wall directly beneath that rail. Because the rail casts a fine shadow line above them, the halo stones read as a distinct second outline rather than merging with the girdle, and from the side the ring shows a bright pear, then a dark line, then a second smaller pear of light. The band is deliberately set with the smallest practical stones so it stays a fine glitter rather than becoming a third strong element.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour as a mined diamond and is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

What is the polished rail around the stone
A thin band of metal that follows the girdle. It supports the claws, protects the edge of the pear and separates the centre stone visually from the concealed halo below.

Is the tip of the pear protected
Yes. A V claw folds over the point and the rail supports the edge on either side of it.

Is the concealed halo visible from above
No. It sits under the girdle and only appears when the ring is seen from the side or at an angle.

Can this ring be resized
Yes. The back of the band is plain, so resizing does not disturb the micropave.

How long does the ring take to make
Each ring is made to order. Allow fourteen to eighteen working days before dispatch.
