Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. Claw prongs are finer than standard prongs, so metal hardness matters more here than on a heavier setting. For daily wear we recommend 14K over 18K, since 14K is the harder alloy and keeps a fine claw in shape longer. Sterling silver is the softest of the options and best suited to occasional wear.

What is a claw prong?
A prong tapered to a fine tip rather than finished as a flat rounded pad. It covers less of the stone's surface, so more diamond shows. The trade is that a finer prong needs checking a little more often, which our lifetime service covers.

How is this different from your other pear rings?
The others are separated by band style and metal: white gold with pave, rose gold with pave and no halo, a tear drop version, and a yellow gold heirloom version. This one is about the head rather than the band, specifically the claw prong style. Compare the galleries and choose on how you want the stone held.

Is the point protected?
Yes. The tip sits under a V prong that caps the thinnest part of the stone in metal rather than leaving it exposed. This is standard on every pear we build.

Are claw prongs more likely to catch?
They are finer, so on paper yes, though in practice a well finished claw sits close to the stone. If snagging is a real concern for your work or daily routine, our bezel settings are the safer choice.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?

How long does it take to make?
