Oval Moissanite Tapered Baguette Three Stone Engagement Ring

Two tapered baguette moissanites point outward from either side of the oval centre stone, their narrow ends meeting the band and their wide ends sitting against the oval. The result is a head that reads as one continuous shape rather than three separate stones, and the straight edges of the baguettes make the curve of the oval look rounder by contrast.

Tapered baguettes are a step cut, so they behave differently from round accents. Instead of scattering light they give clean flashes along their length, which reads as an older, more architectural style. On a slim polished band with nothing else competing, the effect stays quiet and deliberate.

How it compares

Against a three stone with pear or round sides, the baguettes give straight lines instead of curves, which suits anyone drawn to art deco design. Against our emerald cut three stone, the baguettes are slimmer and sit lower, so the ring stays closer to the finger and pairs more easily with a straight wedding band.

Wearing and stacking

The side stones taper down toward the band, which leaves a clean line for a straight wedding band to sit against without a visible gap. The plain shank also makes resizing straightforward.

Care

Clean with warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, paying attention to the corners where the baguettes meet their prongs. Dry with a lint free cloth. Remove the ring before swimming or heavy manual work.

How big are the baguettes
They are matched to the centre stone you choose, typically between 0.25 and 0.45 carat each, so the proportion stays right at every centre size.

Are step cut stones more fragile
Their corners need protection, which is why each baguette is held at four points rather than two. Moissanite itself is very hard, so with normal care they wear well.

Will this ring sit flush with a wedding band
Yes, in most cases. The side stones taper down to the shank so a straight band meets it cleanly.
