Three ovals in a row. The centre stone is flanked by two smaller ovals cut to the same proportions and set upright in the same direction, so the outline of the ring repeats one shape three times at descending size. Nothing is mixed and nothing contrasts, which is exactly why this design looks calm rather than busy.

Each side stone sits in its own four prong setting, close enough to the centre that the three read as a single band of light across the finger, with only a thin line of metal between them.

How it compares

Pear, marquise and emerald side stones all introduce a second shape to the ring. Using ovals throughout keeps the design consistent and makes the centre stone look larger by giving the eye a matching reference next to it. It is the most classical version of a three stone oval we make.

Wearing and stacking

Level tops and a plain band mean a straight wedding band sits flush without a gap. The stones sit low enough not to catch, which suits everyday wear.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. The two side ovals are cut and matched to the centre for colour and proportion before the ring is set. Every ring is made after you order in the metal, carat and finger size you choose, usually within 7 to 10 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, working between the three stones where the gaps are narrow. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

How large are the side stones
Around one quarter to one third of the centre weight each, so a 3 carat centre is flanked by ovals near 0.8 carat.

Do the three stones match in colour
Yes. All three are colorless VVS moissanite, cut and selected together so there is no visible difference between them.

Will the ring look wide on a small finger
Three ovals in a row do cover more of the finger than a solitaire. On finger sizes 4 to 6 the 2 carat centre keeps the whole head within the width of the finger.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.
