The accents on this band are not all the same size. They start large where the shoulder meets the setting and step down gradually as they run toward the back of the ring, ending in small stones that fade into the plain metal. Graduating them this way draws the eye upward toward the centre stone instead of holding it on the band.

Under the head is a hidden halo of small round accents wrapped around the basket, and the pave from the shoulders carries straight up into it, so from the side there is one continuous line of light from the shank to the stone.

How it compares

Our even pave styles use one accent size all the way along, which gives a steady line of sparkle. Graduating the stones instead makes the band look as though it grows toward the centre stone, and it makes the centre read larger by comparison. Against our bold French pave, the accents here are smaller and set closer together.

Wearing and stacking

The pave stops before the palm side, so the ring is comfortable and easy to resize. Because the shoulder accents are larger than a standard pave, a wedding band with similar sized stones sits alongside it well.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. Graduated pave means every seat is a slightly different size and has to be cut individually, which is why each ring is made after you order in the metal, carat and finger size you choose. Production usually takes 7 to 10 working days.

Care

Clean with warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush, working along the scalloped edges and under the basket. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth. Have the pave checked once a year.

Around twenty two to twenty eight on the shoulders depending on your finger size, plus the hidden halo around the basket.

Will the hidden halo be visible when worn
Only from the side or at an angle. From above the oval covers it completely.

Can this ring be resized
Yes. The lower part of the band is plain metal.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.
