Oval Cut Lab Grown Diamond Three Stone Ring with Pear Sides and a Hidden Halo

An oval cut lab grown diamond in four claws with a pear cut diamond set close on each side, the whole head lifted on a concealed halo of pave that circles beneath the centre stone and continues under both pears, on a plain tapered band.

Running the hidden halo under all three stones rather than only under the centre is what separates this from an ordinary three stone. On a normal three stone ring the side diamonds sit directly on their own small collars of solid metal, and if you look at the ring in profile there is a dark band of gold running beneath the whole head. Here that band is replaced with light. A continuous row of small round brilliants is set around the outside of the centre basket and carried straight through under each pear, so from the side the three stones appear to be floating on a bright rail rather than resting on metal. It also solves a proportion problem specific to three stone rings, which is that the head is wide and can look heavy from the side. Filling the underside with diamond rather than gold makes the whole assembly read as lighter than it is. The pears are set points outward with their crowns level with the oval, so all three tables lie on one plane, and the shank below tapers away quickly and carries nothing at all.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate

Where exactly is the hidden halo
It circles the outside of the centre basket below the girdle and then continues straight through underneath both pear side stones, so the entire head sits on diamond rather than on metal.

Why extend it under the side stones
Because a three stone head is wide, and a solid band of gold running beneath all three reads heavy from the side. Replacing that with light makes the whole assembly look lighter than it is.

Can you see it from above
No. It is invisible looking straight down and appears only when the hand turns.

Are the pear points protected
Yes. Each sits under a V shaped claw, the standard protection for the most vulnerable part of a pear cut.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, by two or three sizes, because the shank carries no stones. The halo sits in the head and is unaffected.

How long does the ring take to make
