An oval cut lab grown diamond in four claws with a large pear on each side, points facing outward, and a long teardrop shaped opening cut clean through each shoulder immediately behind the side stones.

The cut away is what separates this from an ordinary pear sided trio. Directly behind each pear, where the shank would normally be at its heaviest carrying the weight of the head, a long teardrop shaped window has been pierced right through the metal. It is not decoration applied to the surface, it is an actual opening, and it does two things at once. It removes a considerable amount of gold from the bulkiest part of the ring, so a design carrying three sizeable stones still wears light on the finger. And it repeats the outline of the pear stone just beyond it in negative, so the eye reads the same teardrop shape twice, once in diamond and once in open space. That echo is why the shoulders look considered rather than merely lightened. Everything else is left plain: the pears are held in simple claws, the band is a smooth rounded shank, and there is no pavé, halo or milgrain anywhere.

Band details

A smooth rounded shank with a teardrop shaped opening cut clean through each shoulder, closing to a solid band across the palm. The interior is smooth and comfort rounded.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

What is a cut away shoulder
A shaped opening pierced right through the metal of the shoulder rather than a pattern worked on its surface. You can see the finger through it.

Why cut the shoulders away
It removes gold from the heaviest part of the ring so a three stone design still wears light, and the teardrop opening repeats the outline of the pear beside it in negative, so the same shape appears twice.

How is this different from your other pear sided three stone rings
Others use a pavé scroll gallery, close set pears on bead claws, six claws with teardrop shoulder buds, or a hidden halo beneath all three. This is the only one with the shoulders pierced through.

Does piercing the shoulder weaken the ring
No, when the openings are placed and proportioned properly. The remaining metal on either side of each window forms two rails, which together resist bending as well as a solid shoulder of the same outside dimensions.

Why do the pears point outward
Points turned outward draw the eye along the finger and make the hand look longer. We can turn them inward for a tighter, more clustered effect.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, comfortably. The palm side is a solid plain band, which is where a sizing cut is made.
