An oval cut lab grown diamond in four claws that cross over one another beneath the stone to form a trellis, on a slim band fishtail set with fine pavé for three quarters of its length.

A trellis gallery is the detail worth understanding. In an ordinary four claw head each claw runs straight down from the girdle to the shank on its own. In a trellis the claws are angled so that they pass across one another under the stone, weaving into an X where they meet, and each one continues down to join the band on the opposite side from where it started. That interlacing does real structural work, because a crossed pair braces against sideways movement in a way four independent posts cannot, and on a long oval it stops the head twisting on the finger. It also looks like something from underneath, which matters on a design as spare as this one. The rest is kept deliberately fine. The band is slim rather than broad, and the pavé is small stones in fishtail settings, with the metal cut away to a V between each pair so the row stays bright without becoming heavy. There is no halo anywhere.

Band details

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

How is this different from your other fishtail pave rings
One pairs fishtail with a hidden halo and full eternity coverage. Another uses large stones on a wide band with a bare head. This is the slimmest of the three, with fine stones and a trellis gallery.

What is fishtail setting
The metal between neighbouring stones is cut away at an angle from both sides, leaving a sharp tapering spur. It exposes more of each stone and keeps a fine row bright.

Why is there no halo
The design is built around the trellis, which is best seen with open space around it. A halo would sit directly where the crossing claws are most visible.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, comfortably. The plain quarter across the palm is left specifically for that.
