An oval cut lab grown diamond in four claws over a pavé set hidden halo, on a domed shank that is broad across the shoulders and tapers steadily as it travels to the palm, pinching in just before it meets the head.

The shape of this shank is doing all of the work. It is widest and deepest at the shoulders, where the metal swells into a full dome, and from there it narrows continuously round the back of the finger. That single decision changes how the ring wears in two ways. First, broad shoulders give the eye something substantial to compare the diamond against at exactly the point where the two meet, which frames the stone and makes the head look properly seated rather than perched. Second, tapering to the palm removes the bulk from the part of the finger that has to bend, so the ring feels far lighter than its shoulder width suggests. Just before the shank reaches the basket the goldsmith pinches it in slightly, a small waist that separates band from head and stops the two reading as one continuous lump of metal. Around the outer wall of the collar sits a hidden halo, a full row of small rounds following the oval, invisible from above and revealed only in profile. There is no pavé, engraving or milgrain anywhere on the band itself.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Why does the band taper
Broad shoulders frame the stone where the eye reads the join, while narrowing to the palm removes bulk from the part of the finger that bends. The ring feels much lighter than its shoulder width suggests.

What is the pinch below the head for
It is a small waist that separates the band from the setting, so the two do not read as one continuous mass of metal. Without it a wide domed shoulder swallows a low head.

How is this different from your other hidden halo rings
One uses a heavy half round band of constant width, one a fine round wire, one a petite half paved shank. This is the tapered version, broad and domed at the shoulders and narrow at the palm.

Will a wedding band sit against it
Yes, with a small gap at the shoulders because of the taper. A slightly contoured band closes that gap neatly, and we can make one to match.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, comfortably. The narrow palm side is where a sizing cut is made and there is nothing set into it.
