An oval cut lab grown diamond in four claws whose legs cross in a V beneath the basket, with a pavé set hidden halo around the collar, on a band that is a true round wire of uniform gauge with no shoulders and no pavé anywhere.

The section of a shank matters more than most people expect. A half round band has a domed top and a flat inner face. A court band is rounded on both. This one is a genuine round wire, circular in cross section the whole way round, which means it presents the same narrow curved highlight from every direction and sits on the finger like a fine hoop rather than like a band. It also holds one gauge from the head right round to the palm with no widening at the shoulders at all, so there is no visual transition between band and setting. The claws simply rise out of the wire. Beneath the basket their four legs cross each other in a V, which is a small but real piece of engineering, because crossing the legs braces the head laterally without adding a gallery rail or a wider collar. Around the outside of that collar sits the hidden halo, a full row of small rounds following the oval outline, invisible from above and appearing only when the ring turns. Nothing else is set. It is the most minimal way we build a hidden halo.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

What is a round wire band
A shank that is circular in cross section rather than domed on top and flat inside. It sits on the finger like a fine hoop and presents the same narrow highlight from every direction.

What do the crossed claw legs do
Crossing the four legs in a V beneath the basket braces the head sideways without needing a wider collar or a gallery rail. It is the lightest way to make a four claw head rigid.

How is this different from your other hidden halo rings
One pairs a hidden halo with a heavy half round comfort fit shank, another with a petite half paved band, another with a scalloped paved band and a gallery wire. This is the most minimal version, a round wire of uniform gauge with nothing set on it.

Does the hidden halo add anything if you cannot see it from above
Yes, brightness. It sits below the girdle and bounces light up through the pavilion, so the centre stone reads livelier than a bare four claw solitaire. From above the ring still looks completely plain.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, several sizes in either direction. A plain round wire is the easiest of all shanks to size.
