An oval cut lab grown diamond in six claws with a pair of round brilliants stacked one above the other against each shoulder and a marquise cut diamond set beyond them, the three stones fanning outward from the centre on a plain tapered band.

The arrangement here is vertical as well as horizontal, which is what separates it from an ordinary shoulder cluster. Against each side of the head sit two round brilliants, one high and one low rather than side by side, so they fill the full depth of the shoulder instead of sitting in a single line across it. Beyond that pair a marquise lies almost flat, its long axis running out along the finger. Read from the centre outward the group goes tall, then wide, which fans the accents away from the oval like an opening hand rather than trailing them off in a row. That vertical stacking also does something useful for the profile of the ring. Because one round sits above the other, the group has height when seen from the side and the head does not appear to be floating on a bare shoulder, which is the usual weakness of a plain shank solitaire at large carat weights. Beyond the fans the band is completely plain, round in section and tapering steadily to the back, so all the decoration stays gathered around the stone.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Why are the two round accents stacked rather than side by side
So the group has depth as well as width. Stacked vertically they fill the shoulder from top to bottom, which gives the head visual support in profile instead of leaving it sitting on bare metal.

Is this a five stone ring
Not in the traditional sense. There are three accents on each side but they are graduated and grouped rather than set in a straight line, so the ring reads as a solitaire with fanned shoulders.

Will the marquise points catch
No. Each point sits under a claw rather than standing exposed at the edge of the shoulder.

Does this suit a large centre stone
Particularly well. The fans give a four or five carat oval something to sit against, where a completely bare shoulder can make a very large stone look stranded.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, by two or three sizes, because the accents sit at the shoulders and the rest of the shank is plain.

How long does the ring take to make
