An oval lab grown diamond in four fine claws on a narrow shank set with a single row of small round brilliants, a light ring designed to be worn every day rather than kept for occasions.

Everything here is scaled down except the centre stone. The claws are drawn to a fine point and sit low against the girdle, the basket is small and open, and the shank is narrower than most pave bands so the stones in it are correspondingly small. That scaling is deliberate, because the perceived size of a centre stone depends on what it is next to. Put a wide band and chunky claws around a two carat oval and the stone looks ordinary. Put the same stone above a delicate line of pave and it looks considerably larger than its weight. The pave itself runs about two thirds of the way round and stops, leaving the back of the band plain so it can be resized and so the underside stays smooth against the neighbouring finger. It is also the practical choice for anyone who wears rings while working with their hands, since there is very little metal standing above the finger to catch.

Band details

The shank is narrow and low, pave set across the front two thirds and left plain at the back. The inside is comfort rounded so it sits flat under the finger.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour as a mined diamond and is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Is a delicate band strong enough for daily wear
Yes. The shank is thin but solid, and because the head is low the ring is knocked far less often than a tall setting. We also repair and re tighten free of charge for life.

Why does the pave stop before the back of the band
So the ring can be resized without disturbing the stones, and so the part of the band that presses against the neighbouring finger stays smooth.

Will the small stones fall out
Each is held by its own beads raised from the metal and burnished over the stone. We check and tighten them free of charge whenever the ring is sent in.

Can this ring be resized
Yes. The back of the shank is plain.

How long does the ring take to make
Each ring is made to order. Allow twelve to sixteen working days before dispatch.
