An oval cut lab grown diamond in four claws on a shank that divides into two strands and lets them cross over one another at each shoulder, one strand plain and the other carrying a short run of pavé that sweeps diagonally up to meet the stone.

A crossover is not a twist. In a twisted band the two strands wind around each other continuously the whole way round the finger. Here they run together as a single shank across the palm, separate as they approach the head, and then pass over one another exactly once on each shoulder before meeting the setting, leaving an open X with a clear void at its centre. That single crossing is the entire event of the ring, and it is what makes the design read as a gesture rather than as a pattern. Only one of the two strands is set. It carries a short diagonal run of pavé that begins low on the shoulder and climbs across the crossing point to arrive at the girdle of the stone, so the diamonds trace the line of the movement instead of decorating the band evenly. The other strand is left plain and polished, passing beneath the set one, and the contrast between the bright diagonal and the smooth metal crossing it is why the X remains legible from every angle.

Band details

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

What is a crossover shank
The band divides into two strands near the head and they pass over one another once on each shoulder, leaving an open X. Across the palm it runs as a single shank.

How is a crossover different from a twisted band
A twist winds its two strands around each other continuously the whole way round. A crossover does it exactly once on each side, so it reads as a single gesture rather than a repeating pattern.

Why is only one strand set with diamonds
So the pavé traces the line of the crossing rather than decorating the band evenly, and so the plain strand stays visible passing underneath. Setting both would close the X visually.

How is this different from your other crossover and twist designs
One is a plain crossover with no stones. Another is a petite twisted vine winding the whole way round with scalloped pavé. This one crosses once per shoulder with a single diagonal pavé sweep.

Will a wedding band sit flush against it
Not a straight band, because the strands separate at the shoulders. A contour band shaped to follow the crossing sits neatly, and we can make one to match.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, within reason. The palm side is a single plain shank, which is where a sizing cut is made.
