Frequently asked questions

How is this different from your other oval trilogy ring?
Same all-oval three stone construction. That one is written and photographed for proposals; this one is styled in yellow gold as an anniversary piece. If you like the arrangement, look at both galleries and choose the metal and photographs you prefer rather than assuming they are different rings.

Does the carat apply to all three stones?
To the centre stone. The two sides are scaled proportionally, so the ring keeps its proportions whichever carat you choose.

Why is a three stone ring given for anniversaries?
The past, present and future reading suits marking a period of time. It is also a way of adding diamonds without moving to a halo or a fully pave band.

Does yellow gold affect how the diamonds look?
The metal reflects some warmth into the stones, so an E colour diamond can read very slightly warmer than it would in white gold. Many people want exactly that. If you want maximum iciness, choose a white metal.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.
