An oval cut lab grown diamond in four claws above a deep hidden halo that wraps the entire basket, on a rounded plain band. Most hidden halos are a single shallow row tucked under the stone. This one is deliberately taller and runs the full circumference of the basket, so from the side you see a solid band of pave following the whole outline of the oval rather than two short rows. The effect is that the head appears to sit on a ring of light, and because the pave follows the elongated shape rather than a circle, the profile reads as long as the stone itself. The band above and below is left completely plain and rounded, which keeps the ring comfortable and puts all the detail in the one place. Free IGI certificate for the centre stone. Band details

Pave diamonds run the full circumference of the basket beneath the centre stone, set taller than a standard hidden halo so the band of light is clearly visible from every side angle. The shank itself is a rounded plain band, polished and unbroken, with no stones set into it.

Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. Yellow gold, as photographed, frames the ring of pave in warm metal so it reads as a distinct band. White gold and sterling silver merge the halo into the centre stone so the head looks like one larger diamond. Rose gold is the softest.

Frequently asked questions

How is a deep wraparound halo different from a standard hidden halo?
A standard hidden halo is a shallow row on each side of the basket. This one is taller and continuous, running the full way around, so it reads as a solid ring of diamonds under the stone rather than two short lines.

Does it make the ring sit higher?
Slightly, because the halo needs the height. It still sits lower than any visible halo design and a wedding band fits neatly beneath.

Does it make the diamond look bigger?
From above, no, because the halo is invisible from that angle. From the side, considerably, because the lit band extends the apparent depth of the stone.

Why is oval the most requested shape?
It spreads its weight lengthwise rather than downward, so it covers more finger than a round of the same carat weight, and the elongated outline lengthens the finger visually.

Will the pave stones fall out?
Each sits in its own raised bead of metal and every setting is checked before shipping. We also offer a lifetime prong and pave check.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut and carat weight.

Is the plain band deliberate?
Yes. With this much pave under the stone, adding more to the shank would compete with it. The rounded plain band gives the eye somewhere to rest.
