Emerald Cut Moissanite Three Quarter Pave Hidden Halo Engagement Ring

Two rows of small accents work together on this ring. A hidden halo runs around the outside of the basket, sitting just under the girdle of the emerald cut, and a scalloped pave row runs down the shoulders and around about three quarters of the band before stopping at the back.

The pave is scalloped, meaning the metal between the stones is cut into small curves rather than left flat. It lets light reach each accent from the side as well as from above.

How it compares

Our plain band hidden halo keeps the shank completely bare, so the halo is the only accent work on the ring. This one adds the pave row as well, which roughly doubles the number of small stones and makes the ring read as brighter from across a room. Both share the same low crossing claw head.

Why an emerald cut

An emerald cut shows the stone rather than the sparkle. Broad flat facets step down toward the table and give long flashes of light instead of the scattered fire of a brilliant cut. The pave and hidden halo supply the fire around it.

Wearing and stacking

The pave stops before the back of the band, so there is plain metal where a wedding band would rub. That is deliberate and it is what makes this design safe to stack daily.

Made to order in Surat, India

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. The scallops are cut after the stones are seated, working along the row with a graver so each curve lines up with the stone behind it. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 10 to 14 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Brush along the pave row and then tilt the ring and work around the outside of the basket where the hidden halo sits. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.
