Emerald Cut Moissanite Petite Twist Micropave Band Engagement Ring

Two very fine strands cross once on each shoulder. One is polished metal, the other is micropave set with small round accents. The strands are thin enough that the twist reads as a line rather than a rope, and the crossing point sits about halfway between the stone and the side of the finger.

Below the cross the band returns to a single slim shank. Nothing about this ring is heavy.

How it compares

Our double twist milgrain ring crosses twice, carries beaded edges and uses a noticeably heavier strand. This one is the fine version: a single crossing, no milgrain, and a band nearly half a millimetre thinner. It costs less, and because there is so little metal the centre stone looks larger on the hand.

Why an emerald cut

On a slim band the stone carries the ring. An emerald cut spreads wider for its weight than most shapes, so it reads generously above a 1.7 mm shank without needing extra height in the setting.

Wearing and stacking

The twist is shallow and the band is thin, so a straight wedding ring sits close along most of its length. Two slim rings together come to less width than one standard band.

Made to order in Surat, India

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. Micropave on a strand this narrow leaves almost no metal either side of each stone, so the seats are cut under magnification and the beads raised one at a time. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 16 to 20 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Brush along the pave strand rather than across it. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

Is 1.7 mm strong enough for daily wear
Yes, in all our metals. It is a fine band by design. If you want more metal for hard daily wear, our 2 mm and wider designs will hold up better over decades.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, by one size in either direction, at the single shank below the twist.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.
