The accents on this band are full sized round brilliants, not fine pave. Each one shares its claws with the stone next to it, so the row runs unbroken with barely any metal showing between them, and the stones sit almost as wide as the band itself.

Turn the ring sideways and a second row appears under the centre stone: a hidden halo tucked into the head, visible only in profile.

How it compares

Our large shared claw halo ring uses the same setting style but adds a full halo around the stone. This one keeps the big accents on the band only, so the centre stone stands alone at the top while the shoulders do the sparkling. It carries more stone weight on the band than any of our pave designs, and reads bolder than a French pave shank while still being a solitaire from directly above.

Why an emerald cut

Large round brilliants on the shoulders throw a lot of fire. A step cut centre reflects broad flat light instead, so the middle of the ring stays calm and the eye reads the stone as one clean shape rather than more sparkle.

Wearing and stacking

The stones sit low in shared claws and the back of the band is plain, so a straight wedding band lies close behind the finger. Along the shoulders the accents stand slightly proud, which is normal for this setting.

Made to order in Surat, India

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. Shared claws at this size need every seat cut to exactly the same depth, because one stone sitting low is obvious in a continuous row. We set the shoulders in a single pass rather than stone by stone. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 16 to 20 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Brush the shoulder row from both sides, and work up under the head to reach the hidden halo. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

How many accent stones are there
Around eighteen on the shoulders and twenty six in the hidden halo, depending on finger size.

Why can I not see the hidden halo from the top
It is set into the underside of the head, below the girdle of the centre stone. You see it from the side and at an angle as the hand moves.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, by one size in either direction, at the plain back of the band.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.
